Effective August 6, 20261. Life coaching, not health care
Next Chapter with Dr. Nishi LLC provides life coaching focused on reflection, personal growth, values, goals, decision-making, and practical action. Coaching is not medical care, mental-health care, psychotherapy, counseling, diagnosis, treatment, or rehabilitation.
2. Professional background
Dr. Nishi is a retired family physician and works with coaching clients only in her role as a certified life coach. References to medical training or women’s-health experience describe professional background and do not mean that medical services are being offered. No physician-patient relationship is created through this website or a coaching engagement.
3. Continue appropriate professional care
Coaching does not replace care from a physician, licensed mental-health professional, attorney, financial adviser, or other qualified professional. Do not delay, disregard, or stop professional care based on website content or a coaching conversation. Questions about a medical or psychological condition should be directed to the appropriate licensed provider.
4. Not emergency or crisis support
Next Chapter does not provide emergency or crisis services and does not continuously monitor website messages or email. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. In the United States, you can call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. If you are outside the United States, contact your local emergency or crisis service.
5. Your decisions and results
You remain responsible for your own choices, actions, wellbeing, and results. Coaching may support clarity and accountability, but it cannot guarantee a particular outcome. Any examples or testimonials describe individual experiences and are not promises of future results.
6. Confidentiality and technology
Coaching conversations are treated respectfully and confidentially, subject to the coaching agreement, applicable law, safety concerns, and practical limits of electronic communications. Email, website forms, videoconferencing, and other technologies carry privacy and security risks. Do not use the website to send medical records or highly sensitive information.
7. Fit and referrals
Coaching may not be appropriate for every situation. We may decline or end coaching when a person’s needs fall outside the scope of coaching and may encourage support from a licensed health, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional.
